How can one make the gods diverge from their sacred path?
Make them feel the sting of the thorn of mortality which grows in the sacred grove?
Can they make their hearts rise and fall with the beats of humanity?
Can they make them doubt their own divine actions?
Can they make them fall into the traps set by man?
Force them to follow the will of their desires and feel the consequences they have brought unto themselves?
Can they make them feel the sting of betrayal, or the double-edged sword of loyalty?
Could they bear to suffer the fate of man?
What would they feel when heartbreak is upon them?
Could they understand how the old beggar feels?
Would they grasp the awful fate that awaits the orphaned child?
What would they think when they feel the life man suffers?
If they could change the curling strands of time, would they?
Would they spare man the fate that awaits his children?
Would they save the lives of innocents that perished under the rule of greed and jealousy?
Would they save us if they knew….
